We’re a husband-and-wife team, Romulo Merino and Sarah Overholser, and we’re thrilled to share our passion for events with you. After years of working in the event industry—Sarah with a decade of experience in experiential marketing across the US and Canada, and Romulo with a strong connection to the local Latin community—we came together to create a unique and welcoming event space right here in South Bend, IN.

Our journey began with a vision to offer a versatile venue where people could celebrate life’s big moments and everyday joys. Since opening our doors in October 2019, Rio Park has been designed as a blank canvas for all kinds of events, big or small.
